Renee HessRenee Hess is an adjunct professor, community organizer, freelance pop culture writer and the Founder/Executive Director of the Black Girl Hockey Club, an organization that works to build an inclusive space for Black women in hockey. With a Master's degree in Literature, Renee believes in the power of education and uses hockey to discuss topics like discrimination, the wage gap, sports fandom and the Black community. Black Girl Hockey Club and their anti-racism work in hockey has been featured in Sports Illustrated, ESPN, and most recently, the New York Times.
